Art clases begin
One of the artists participating in Gallery Zaguan, Lalo Valasquez, who also has won a number of national competitions and is an experienced art instructor, in October began giving instruction to our residents.
... Lalo not only teaches them at our facility but also takes them on tours of other galleries and museums in the area to appreciate and copy different styles; as well as taking them into nature to paint what they see.

We received our first grant from a foundation.
The Christian Community Foundation in Colorado Springs, Colorado, gave Bruce Peru a generous grant to cover the cost of our Tilapia Project (farming fish to supply our 15 Restaurants Corazon). We wish to express our gratitude to the foundation, to David Miller who submitted our application and especially to Floyd Jones who funded the grant. Thank you all.

School children came to sing happy birthday to our founder.
A number of schools and universities in Trujillo participate in our projects, providing volunteers, giving used clothes and organizing sporting events for our kids..

Clubs and civic associations are beginning to bring children to eat at Restaurant Corazon.
In October the local Rotary Club and others brought several bus loads of children to dine with us.

Transitions
Monina, who also helps our friends at Mundo de Niños, has joined us to organize a group of volunteers to help us teach street kids in the streets of Trujillo.
